Regular Meetings on the 3rd Saturday of each month (except June 2012)
“The Secret Doctrine” was written by H.P. Blavatsky and originally published in 1888 as two volumes.
She says: “The Secret Doctrine is the accumulated Wisdom of the Ages, and its cosmogony alone is the most stupendous and elaborate system.” (SD I, p.272)
“These truths are in no sense put forward as a revelation; nor does the author claim to be in a position of a reveller of mystic lore, now made public for the first time in the world’s history. The work is a partial statement of what she herself has been taught by more advanced students, supplemented, in a few details only, by the results of her own study and observation. It is needless to explain that this book is not the Secret Doctrine in its entirety, but a select number of fragments of its fundamental tenets.” (SD I, Preface)
Using the introductory Study Course on The Secret Doctrine, compiled by Pablo Sender and Juliana Cesano, Adyar 2006 (and available on free download), we are looking at the Three Fundamental Propositions in the Proem (Volume 1).
This Study Course is on going, and you are welcome to attend at any stage. Just turn up at the meeting. There is a set charge of £3.00, which includes refreshments. DOWNLOAD the Course Notes Below:
